Seven Seas Entertainment brings to the United States the isekai Hunting In Another World With My Elf Wife Volume 3 by Jupiter Studios.
The Hunters Guild leader Bal asks the human hunter Shin and his elf archer wife Saran to join some friends of his in their investigation into the kidnapping of elves by local nobles. The couple encounters the group who welcome them with open arms. Together with their new allies, they embark on a dangerous investigation into powerful people with the hopes that they can rescue the displaced elves, but a mysterious new enemy poses a danger.
As I have said previously, Japan does not have a gun culture that there is in the United States so any sort of firearms are often shown in a negative light. This time around, we get a different perspective. Shin is not only an avid hunter but is very proficient in shooting sports.
The way the relationship between Shin and Saran is adorable. Being an elf, she is somewhat stronger and faster in a physical sense, but as a human, he is logical and strategic. They make a good power couple and the way they are tracking down the villains is good. I am not crazy about the hunters they teamed up with, but I am willing to keep an open mind.
I also think it is funny that Shin and Saran are becoming known as the Pigeon Slayers. That is how they got their start with the guild. In this world, pigeons are a nuisance and difficult to get rid of, so Shin uses an airsoft gun to get rid of them. This is an ongoing theme that I think is hilarious. You can tell it frustrates them but it adds to the humor.
With all of these factors, I am excited to see where this series is going. It is a lot of fun and is building so much intrigue.
